What should you expect in Week 38?
  • Your baby is getting stronger and bigger by the second and they can really back their entrance at any time, so buckle up for the most miraculous time of your life!
  • At this point, your baby is just improving on what is already there! Your baby’s vocal cords are now also developed and ready for that first glorious cry as they are welcomed into the world!
  • Here is another fun fact, of all the organs that your baby has developed there are just two that continue to develop into childhood and beyond, The Babylist reports.
  • Can you guess which two? It’s the brain and the lungs!
  • As for what you should have prepared at this point, your “go bag” or hospital bag should be packed and your nursery should be stocked with the essentials.
  • And while the anxiety and stress may be getting more intense at this point in your pregnancy, talking with someone who may understand what you’re going through could be helpful!
  • You may also be experiencing swelling, back pain, Braxton Hicks contractions, nausea, and vaginal discharge.
  • There is a chance your cervix could also begin dilating at this point as well!
